Welcome to TaijiTips.com, a website for recording and sharing my notes on tai chi chuan, based on instruction and on my own reading and observations.

Tai chi chuan, also known as taijiquan, is a Chinese martial art characterized by slow, controlled, and coordinated movements. I’ve been doing Hao-style tai chi chuan, also known Wu-Hao style, with the Caltech Tai Chi Club for the past four years. Over that time I’ve taken notes on what I learned. Some of my notes are on my computer, some are in a notebook, and others are in my head, hoping not to be forgotten. I never could decide the best way to organize my notes. Finally, I decided to post them online for all to see, so here they are, for your benefit and for mine.
